Knoxville Maternity Photographer

I had the pleasure of photographing this maternity session recently in Knoxville. Kendel and Daniel will soon welcome twins Jubilee and Hosanna into their family of five. They have kiddos Isaiah, Shilow, and Malachi, who I’m sure are excited for the two new bundles to join. As a family photographer, you hear about your clients’ lives and careers. For this family, I learned about one of Daniel’s projects as an architect: The Ancient Lore Village in Knoxville, Tennessee.

The Ancient Lore Village is a boutique resort exploring a whole new world. It consists of magical fairytales and fiction fantasies. Every lodge tells a different story from a character made up by creator Tom Boyd. Aside from overnight suites, you can tour the village, do archery and axe-throwing, or host your wedding or birthday party here. The possibilities are endless.

How It All Started

In the beginning, Tom had the idea of writing a story when he noticed how much intolerance and hatred are in the world. He wanted to create a place built on acceptance, harmony, and goodness. The Ancient Lore Village was born. Tom wrote the tale of Bokee, who takes a journey and meets various characters along the way. During his trek, Bokee learned they could all get along in peace and harmony no matter their differences.

Later, Tom turned that story into reality. Daniel worked his magic as the architect. This community you walk into feels like you are warping into Bokee’s world. With modern luxuries and comfort, you can still experience that feeling of being in a different era.

Truthfully, I had no idea such a unique place existed this close to home. If you ever need to step out of reality for a weekend, this is the perfect place to go.
