Jacob and Katie said yes to forever surrounded by friends and family at The Millstone in Limestone, Tennessee. The Millstone is an intimate, woodsy venue full of charm and beauty. The blush toned florals and decor complemented the natural ambience of the beautiful June day.
Later at the reception, as a personal touch tables were organized with types of berries rather than numbers, which was a play on their newly shared last name: Berry. Embree House created a gorgeous four-tiered cake with a popular minimalistic approach using “naked” icing and tying in the blush florals. The light streaming in from the floor to ceiling windows lit up the entire room, making the space bright and airy so that it felt like the outdoors flowed inside.
How They Met
Falling in love looked a bit different for Katie and Jacob. In the midst of the pandemic, first dates didn’t happen as they normally would have. While living in Nashville Katie celebrated her birthday Covid style: margaritas, tacos, and alone indoors because of social distancing mandates in place. Except she wasn’t totally alone. Her and Jacob FaceTimed and spoke on the phone all night. Two weeks later Katie took a trip back to Johnson City and had dinner with Jacob in his home since restaurants were still closed down. That night they both knew there was something special between them.
Their love story continues… baby Beckett was born in the summer of 2022. You can see the new family of three here.
With love,
Michelle
