A few weeks ago. I had the pleasure of shooting a bridal session for The Wedding Barn at Beck Mountain. This wedding venue is located in Elizabethton TN. The Wedding Barn at Beck Mountain is a full service venue offering décor, setup/take down, and in house catering. The property offers gorgeous views of the mountains, a unique barn with market lighting throughout for your wedding or reception. They also offer tables, chairs, linens, and even a bridal suite for getting ready!

I can’t say enough good things about the owners of this venue! They are so welcoming and it feels like home when your there. If you don’t have a wedding venue yet this one is perfect and you should take a tour! You wont be disappointed!

When Jennifer (the coordinator) approached me about possibly taking pictures there I was so excited! I love working with different venues! I love what they have to offer at The Wedding Barn at Beck Mountain, and I have worked with Jennifer before at a wedding a few years ago and she is an AMAZING coordinator. I knew this was one place a couldn’t miss out on!

I asked Jennifer if she could find me a bride for pictures. She said she knew the perfect bride! Whitney is one of the brides getting married at The Wedding Barn at Beck Mountain. She actually contacted me last year about being her wedding photographer, but I was booked on her wedding date.

When Whitney first contacted me last year we emailed back and forth for a long time. Whitney is so sweet! She is one of those people that you can just instantly connect with. It makes me a little sad that I wont get to share in her special day, but I know she is in great hands with the photographer she chose 🙂 .

I have this little weird quirky secret about me… and that is that I collect wedding dresses ( I’m giggling right now as I am typing). Yes, my husband says I am a nerd, and yes I try them all on when I get them home lol. I am a vintage junky and I love the unknown story of who had these beautiful gowns and why they didn’t keep them. These little dresses are like treasure to me.

Whitney’s dress wasn’t finished from being altered yet. I suggested that she could wear one of mine. I brought three with me and I was praying this one would fit. It did!!! I love this one on her, the dress is an Alferd Angelo!!! She looks absolutely stunning in it!

My sweet friend Travis from The Potter’s Shed made this lovely spring bouquet. I love the colors he chose! Angela from Glamour Hair Creations did an amazing job on her airbrush makeup. We used a queen ann chair from Kim’s inventory at Southern Knot Wedding & Event Rentals.

The light was so perfect and I couldn’t be more happy with the results on these pictures!
