Alex and Austin were married on March 10th, marking the start of a brand new wedding season. After a winter break, there could not have been a more perfect way to begin the year than capturing this beautiful Kingsport TN wedding.

After every wedding, I am reminded why I love being a wedding photographer. There is a feeling that is hard to put into words, a mix of gratitude, joy, and thankfulness that comes from documenting such meaningful moments. I will admit, I often find myself going through finished galleries with music playing, reliving each part of the day, and appreciating every memory all over again.

Alex and Austin’s wedding ceremony took place at a church in Weber City, Virginia, followed by their reception at The Social in downtown Kingsport, Tennessee. This combination of a traditional ceremony and a modern downtown reception created such a perfect balance for their wedding day.

Every detail of this wedding was stunning, from the thoughtfully chosen colors to the incredible group of family and friends who surrounded them. The ring bearer and flower girl completely stole the show and added so much joy and personality to the day.

One of the best parts of this experience was getting to know Alex and Austin. Alex and I shared so many laughs, especially reminiscing about childhood memories, awkward phases, and those unforgettable styles that we all had growing up. Those connections make wedding days even more meaningful and personal.

Some of my favorite moments happened during the ceremony. One image that stands out the most is the look on Alex’s dad’s face after they finished lighting the unity candle. It is a moment I will always remember and one that perfectly represents why wedding photography matters. It is not about the details or the budget, it is about the love, the commitment, and the once in a lifetime moments shared between people.
