Romantic Outdoor Greeneville TN Wedding

Kaitlin and Salvador were married on August 20 in Greeneville, TN, surrounded by the beauty of East Tennessee. Their wedding day was filled with meaningful moments, heartfelt traditions, and a love that was truly evident in every detail.

The day began with a light rain shower, a little good luck before the ceremony. Thankfully, the rain cleared just in time, leaving everything fresh and glowing. Their ceremony took place outdoors beneath a canopy of trees, creating a romantic and peaceful setting that made this Greeneville TN wedding feel even more special.

One of my favorite parts of the day was how Kaitlin and Salvador beautifully blended both American and Hispanic traditions into their ceremony. In Hispanic culture, the groom’s family provides the rings for the bride and groom and presents a Bible during the ceremony. Watching these traditions unfold was so meaningful, especially as their pastor spoke in both Spanish and English. It was truly heartwarming to see both families come together as one.

Kaitlin has such a strong and special relationship with her family, especially her parents. While she was getting ready, she quietly told me she had a gift for her mom. She showed me a teacup and then shared the story behind it.

When Kaitlin was 10 years old, she was going through a time when she didn’t feel confident or sure of herself. Her mom took her to a tea room and began to show her just how special she was. She first pulled out a simple Styrofoam cup and explained how some people go through life feeling disposable. Then she showed her a plain coffee mug, explaining how sometimes we just go through the motions. Finally, she revealed a delicate teacup and told Kaitlin, “This is you.” She reminded her how beautiful, unique, and purposeful she was, created intentionally and wonderfully.

On her wedding day, Kaitlin gave that same teacup back to her mom. As her mom told the story, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. I was behind my camera trying to capture it all, but through tears, I could barely see my viewfinder. It was one of those moments that reminds you what weddings are truly about.

Being part of Kaitlin and Salvador’s Greeneville TN wedding reminded me why I fell in love with photography in the first place. It’s so easy to get caught up in the details, the timelines, or even the idea of being published, but none of that truly matters. What matters is the story. The love. The moments that take your breath away and stay with you long after the day is over.

Sometimes, you meet people who remind you of your purpose, and Kaitlin was that reminder for me.

Kaitlin and Salvador, thank you for allowing me to be a part of your wedding day and your story. It was such an honor to capture these memories for you. I wish you both a lifetime of love, joy, and blessings in your marriage.
