Roan Mountain TN Engagement Photographers

Jordan and Sabrina’s engagement session took place last summer, and it was extra special because we started with a mini session featuring their adorable new puppy, Pebbles. I have to admit, I’m obsessed with dogs! Any time my couples bring their furry friends along, I get so excited. Pets bring such joy and personality to engagement photos, making every session unique and memorable.

I always encourage couples to include their dogs in their engagement sessions if they want. Sometimes we do a mini session with the pet a few days or weeks before the main session, or I bring along my own dog, Brooke, to help. For Jordan and Sabrina, we decided to split the sessions: a mini session with Pebbles first, then the full engagement session on Roan Mountain. This approach works especially well for energetic pets who need breaks or get easily distracted, ensuring everyone enjoys the experience.

Roan Mountain is one of my absolute favorite locations to photograph in Tennessee. The scenery is breathtaking, with rolling mountain views, lush forests, and natural light that creates the perfect backdrop for romantic engagement photos. I love how each visit to Roan feels fresh and inspiring, even though the hike can be a workout! But trust me, the stunning photos at the summit are always worth it.

During Jordan and Sabrina’s session, their connection was so effortless. They laughed, cuddled, and included Pebbles in so many sweet moments. Pebbles’ striking blue eyes stole the show in several shots, adding extra charm and personality to their photos. Capturing couples with their pets is always so rewarding because it brings out genuine smiles and playful energy that make the photos truly unforgettable.
