Roan Mountain TN Engagement Photographer | East Tennessee & Tri-Cities Wedding Photographer (Johnson City, Kingsport, Asheville NC)

Roan Mountain is easily one of my favorite locations as an East Tennessee engagement photographer. If you’ve never visited, it’s absolutely worth the hike and the views, especially for engagement photos in the Tri-Cities TN area.

From the moment I met Emily, I had a feeling we were going to become friends by the end of this experience. She is so full of energy and joy, and Noah, you’re pretty fun too. I had the best time photographing these two during their Roan Mountain engagement session.

At one point, Emily literally ran up the mountain, no exaggeration! I was behind her carrying gear and laughing, telling her she must be really excited about these photos. Let’s just say I definitely got my cardio in that day.

We were lucky enough to have warm weather and beautiful sunshine, which made the entire session even more enjoyable. Roan Mountain gave us the most incredible backdrop, from the open balds to the sweeping mountain views that make this area so special.

One of my favorite parts of this session was having Noah there to share his connection to the location. Being from Roan Mountain, he was able to tell us all about the area and even show me spots I had never seen before. Getting to experience a place through someone’s personal story always makes the session more meaningful.

As a wedding photographer serving Johnson City, Kingsport, and the greater Tri-Cities TN area, as well as Asheville, NC sessions like this are exactly why I love what I do. The combination of beautiful landscapes and genuine connection is something I never take for granted.
