Roan Mountain TN Elopement

Josh and Megan’s Roan Mountain TN elopement was absolutely magical, and today I’m sharing their “after session.” When Megan originally booked, she asked if, instead of a traditional bridal session, they could capture more intimate photos together after their wedding on Roan Mountain. Of course, I said yes!

We scheduled their session after they returned from their honeymoon, with only one day available before they moved to Ohio. On the day of their session, the forecast predicted rain, but we decided to brave it anyway, and it was worth it.

Roan Mountain TN is known for its breathtaking views, and visiting during rainy or foggy weather brings a completely different, moody perspective. While the fog sometimes hid the expansive vistas, it added a romantic, ethereal feel to their photos. Occasionally the clouds cleared just enough to reveal those iconic Roan Mountain panoramas. Despite the rain coming and going throughout the session, the outcome was stunning.

Their after-session perfectly captured the love and connection Josh and Megan share. The combination of fog, clouds, and glimpses of the mountain scenery created a unique and unforgettable set of images.
