Oxford MS Wedding Photographer | Ole Miss Engagement Session

As an Oxford MS wedding photographer, getting to photograph Mary Claire and Kyle’s engagement session in Oxford was such a special experience. Their session took place in late September, and it was my first time visiting this charming Southern town, home to University of Mississippi. Oxford completely lived up to the hype. From the tree lined streets to the vibrant college atmosphere, it’s easily one of the most picturesque locations for engagement photos in Mississippi and yes, it may have even turned me into a quiet Ole Miss fan.

A Meaningful Connection

Mary Claire and I originally connected through Instagram thanks to Sara B Calligraphy, and from our very first phone call, I knew she was someone special. Spending time with her, Kyle, and her mom Lynn only confirmed that. They were incredibly welcoming, and what started as a photography trip quickly felt like visiting close friends.

Engagement Photos at Ole Miss

Mary Claire and Kyle met while attending law school at University of Mississippi, so incorporating the campus into their engagement session was a must. The iconic architecture and beautiful grounds made the perfect backdrop for their photos and added a personal, meaningful touch to their session. And of course, one of my favorite parts, Hercules, their sweet pup, joined in for a few photos. Including your dog in your engagement session always makes it even more fun and memorable.

Oxford Square Engagement Photos

We wrapped up their session at the iconic Oxford Square, one of the most popular spots for engagement photos in Oxford. With its charming storefronts, Southern character, and lively energy, it’s easy to see why couples love this location. We also stopped by Graduate Oxford, which is not only incredibly stylish but also one of the most dog-friendly places in town, perfect for couples including their pets in their session.

Counting Down to the Wedding Day
