Choosing the perfect location for an engagement session can be overwhelming, but for Julia and Zac, it had to be special. Both working in the medical field and traveling frequently, they wanted a North Carolina location that reflected their adventurous spirits. Zac suggested Max Patch, and as a Max Patch Asheville NC Engagement Photographer, I immediately knew it would be ideal.

The drive to Max Patch is a scenic adventure in itself, winding through beautiful mountains with views that stretch for miles. When I arrived, I realized my little car handled the curvy, bumpy road like a champ, but a four-wheel drive would have been nice! Along the way, I even saw a baby bear crossing the road. Moments like that make engagement sessions unforgettable.

Max Patch’s sweeping views and open skies create the perfect backdrop for engagement photography. Julia and Zac were absolute troopers, hiking up the mountain for the session despite a bit of confusion over meeting points and no cell signal. Their energy, laughter, and connection made capturing genuine, heartfelt moments effortless.

Julia’s blush sequin dress was an absolute showstopper against the natural, mountain scenery, adding a romantic, dreamy touch to their portraits.
