As a Jonesborough Engagement Photographer, I’m convinced there’s something magical about Tennessee’s oldest town. Maybe it’s the brick sidewalks, the old-world architecture, or the way every street feels like a piece of living history. Whatever it is, Jonesborough creates a backdrop that feels timeless, cozy, and filled with character—perfect for couples who want their engagement photos to tell a story.

Below are some of my favorite places to photograph during an engagement session here, along with why Jonesborough continues to be one of my most-loved locations in Northeast Tennessee.

Main Street

If you’ve ever walked down Main Street, you know exactly why it’s a top pick.
Historic storefronts, warm brick textures, and pops of color make every corner feel photogenic. It’s the kind of place where you can stroll hand-in-hand and let the candid moments unfold naturally.

I love starting sessions here because the atmosphere immediately puts couples at ease. It’s relaxed, walkable, and full of that small-town charm Tennessee is known for.

The International Storytelling Center Lawn

Right in the heart of downtown, the Storytelling Center offers soft greenery, stone paths, and an elegant backdrop without needing to leave Main Street. It catches beautiful afternoon light and creates a peaceful moment amid the bustle of downtown.

It’s one of my personal favorite spots because it blends nature and history in such a seamless way.

Brick Alleys & Side Streets

Some couples fall in love with the big, iconic Jonesborough views. Others want something quiet and tucked away.
The side streets and brick alleyways are perfect for those more intimate, cozy moments—whispered jokes, forehead kisses, and the kind of photos that feel like just the two of you in your own world.

These are always the spots where couples let their guard down and the most natural images happen.

Mill Spring Park

A short walk from downtown, Mill Spring Park adds a refreshing change of scenery with its lush trees, soft pathways, and footbridges. It’s especially beautiful in the spring and fall, when the colors take center stage.

I love ending sessions here at sunset when the light filters through the trees.
