Johnson City and the surrounding areas are beautiful locations with amazing mountain views. People travel from all over the United States to elope here for that reason. Everyone wants that sea of blue and green mountains in their wedding photos. Then the lovely Waterstone venue was born and suddenly there was a new type of venue that offered something different and special. The naturally-made waterfall gives a gorgeous, picturesque backdrop for weddings.
After years of neglect, the property was purchased by William and Danielle Barrett in 2017. What was once used as a rock quarry and junkyard became a beautiful wedding venue made with love and intention. The Waterstone took over a year to complete renovations and has been a hit in the local wedding industry ever since. Owners, William and Danielle, took their knowledge from the success of their other venue, The Millstone, and used that to create another novel space.
One of the most unique features of The Waterstone is the hobbit house. It’s an underground room with huge windows that give the perfect amount of natural lighting for getting ready. From the hobbit house to the tree house, every area of the venue has so much character. The tree house ceiling is made of reclaimed wood that gives a rustic, vintage feel but doesn’t take away from the overall modernness throughout the venue.
The Waterstone may have a rough past, but it’s now a place full of warm memories that will last forever.
With love,
