Butcher Jones engagement photos
This post is a two part series. If you’ve not seen Caylan and Mark’s first session in Phoenix AZ click here.
Butcher Jones recreation site reminds me a lot of a place here at home called Roan Mountain. Minus the cactus of course.
I loved this Park because it’s surrounded by Saguaro Lake, tall mountains, and winding trails.
I learned a few things while I was there about why a particular cactus is so special.
The saguaro cactus can grow to be 40 ft tall. This plant takes 10 years to grow 1 inch, and 100 years to grow an arm!
Sorry to bore you, but if you follow me on Instagram you know how much I love plants! Just looking around at the scenery made me appreciate them more, because most of the saguaro cactus I saw were over 100 years old!
I loved that Mark and Caylan incorporated his dog Rio in their pictures! Rio was so good and I think he liked me. Also, imagine Rio on his leash attached to my leg while I’m taking pictures. I like to think I’m a functional multitask-er.
I loved my time in Arizona. I hope to plan a trip to go back very soon.
With love,
Michelle
