Duke University Chapel weddings

Back in the summer I had the pleasure of photographing my friend Halie at Duke University Chapel. I grew up with Halie and played softball with her in school. 

We had been visiting Duke Medical Center for my husband’s treatment. When I thought how beautiful it would be to experience the chapel from a photographer’s perspective.

It was a hot summer day in Durham NC. I learned the parking situation there is insanely difficult. Especially in a wedding gown! Halie was so sweet and didn’t mind. One good thing from our crazy parking experience, is that I got to experience the botanical gardens. We had to park there and walk through it to get to the chapel.

I wish I would have had more time that day for her session, because Duke campus really does have a magic about it that you don’t experience until you’re there.

We visit Duke periodically throughout the year. I’m hoping to do more work there on our visits. It truly is a special place, even beyond a photographer’s view.
