Hidden River Events Asheville NC Wedding

Margie and Tom were married on May 6th at Hidden River Events, a farm venue located just outside of Asheville, NC in a small town called Swannanoa, NC. This venue has one of the prettiest gardens I’ve ever seen!

Brooke and I headed down that morning, and of course in true Michelle fashion I got a speeding ticket. I tried to explain to the officer that it was my birthday (which it really was) in hopes he would let me go. I even had a little award winning cry, but he gave me a ticket anyway!

Despite that little mishap we really enjoyed the day with Margie and Tom. I couldn’t have chose a better couple to spend my birthday with.

Margie and Tom met while working together at ASP, short for Appalachia Service Project. I love what this beautiful organization stands for, and it comes to no surprise that these two are part of an organization doing so much good for the Appalachia community.

Margie and Tom are such a sweet and loving couple. The way Tom looks at Margie you can tell how much he adores her. I loved hearing their family and friends speeches at their reception about their monopoly competitiveness, and how Margie loves to win.

It rained for the majority of the day that day, but none of that mattered. After the wedding Margie posted on Instagram that she got to marry her best friend in the rain. I thought that was beautiful, because regardless if there is rain, or if the sun is shining, your love for each other remains the same. This day is a celebration of the decision you both make together to say this is my love for life. There’s something so beautiful about that.

I’m so thankful Margie and Tom embraced the rain! I got some of the sweetest pictures of these two! I’m always happy to put my rain boots on and embrace it as well.

Margie and Tom, thank you so much for having us there for you on your wedding day. I adore you both! Wishing you all the love and happiness forever in your marriage.
