Allandale Mansion Wedding

For “year in review” today I’m reminiscing about Lars and Jenie’s wedding at Allandale Mansion. Jenie and Lars were married this past July 16th. Their wedding ceremony took place at the Heron Dome, located just behind the courtyard behind the mansion.

I always say Allandale Mansion holds a special place in my heart, because Dustin and I were married there 10 years ago this May.

I love Allandale, it feels like home to me. I’ve not only shared my memories from my wedding day there, but I also get the opportunity to re-live my wedding day when I’m sharing memories with my couples.

Jenie and Lars are such a sweet couple! Brooke and I really enjoyed sharing their day with them. I have so many favorite moments!

What I loved about their wedding.

1. I love that Jenie wanted to incorporate her Korean culture into their wedding. Jenie wore a traditional hanbok handmade for her in Korea for her reception. I loved learning about her culture and meeting all of her family on their wedding day.
2. Jenie and Lars amazed me with their strong relationship. When they planned their wedding they both were living in two different countries! I always say situations like that make for strong relationships.
3. I love Jenie’s heart. Jenie has one of the most kind hearts I know. The first time I met Jenie was about a week before her wedding. I hugged her and she told me how thankful she was to have found me, and she thanked me for the gift I sent her. She said some of the sweetest things to me that I will never forget. We stood there and cried together. She really may never know what that meant to me. She really made my whole year with her kind words. I think we often just go about our days, we know we are serving a purpose, but sometimes it takes someone like Jenie to really put everything into perspective. Jenie I love you for that!
