Roan Mountain Engagement Photos

I met Kristyn and Jack through my sister. My sister and Jack are both attorneys. I met Jack a few years ago when I did his headshots for their work. When Melanie (my sister) found out Jack was going to purpose she immediately said you have to use my sister for your wedding photographer! Melanie is one of my biggest cheerleaders, almost embarrassing at times because she wants to hand everyone my card! I think I’m just modest about it all and that’s why I get a little shy around the subject.

Kristyn is seriously one of the sweetest brides ever! I had lunch with her at Panera at our first initial meeting and I just fell in love with sweet gal! She loves a lot of the same things I do and her wedding inspiration is Anthropologie, one of my favorite stores 🙂 .

Kristyn and Jack grew up in the same town and went to the same school together. Both their moms were school teachers, so they both were at school EARLY, and usually like most kids they sat in the lunch room together and eventually became good friends.

In high school they started hanging out more and she realized that he was funny and so fun to be around, that’s when she really started to fall for Jack. They have been together since!

Their engagement session was on Roan Mountain. We originally had their engagement scheduled for October, but I got sick with walking pneumonia. They were so sweet about everything, so we rescheduled their session for November.

I’m so excited for these two and I can’t wait to shoot their wedding next year! We had so much fun at their engagement session, and I know their wedding will be even better!
