Kala and Josh are such an awesome couple! I have a lot in common with both of them. Josh is in college to be a Dentist. I worked in Dentistry for 10 years before I decided to be a full time photographer. Kala and I love to shop ( Jane.com and Altar’d State ). I think she’s my soul sister.

While hiking up Roan Mountain Kala was describing her wedding vision and she has the same visions I do when it comes to wedding décor. I LOVED hanging out with these two, they were so much fun to be around!

Kala said something to me while we were at their session. We were talking about outfit choices and she mentioned she chose what they wore based off of my pictures. I don’t think she realized how special she made me feel in that moment. I’m not sure why that matters so much to me, I guess I really didn’t realize people actually look at my pictures.

I know, as weird as that sounds I guess I just didn’t think people look at them and see their self in them, if that makes since. I think for me, it was a really rewarding and humbling moment because I truly care about what I’m doing. I wear my heart on my sleeve and I think all I ever wanted was to make someone feel something with what I’m creating.

Kala and Josh talked about how Kala hates taking pictures. Her and Josh are rock stars in my book, they both rocked this engagement session! I’m in love with every picture. When I got their scans back from Photovision I’m pretty sure I looked like a giggly school girl staring at my computer in awe of what we created together.

Kala and Josh, thank you both for being awesome! I had so much fun hanging out with you both! I’m so excited for your wedding and I can’t wait to be there for you two!
