Coastal Bridal Inspiration

This post is more of a personal post. This year has flown by so fast! I know lately I’ve been posting weddings (click here to see what I’m talking about). Today I wanted to talk about my personal projects and inspirations.

These days I tend to drive and look at scenery in a different way that I have in years past. I’ve driven by this location my whole life. I’ve always thought this place was pretty looking down to it from the bridge that I would cross in my car.

This year I decided to make it a point that I would do things for myself. Being a person that is naturally artistic it’s easy for me to visualize beauty in things that are maybe not so pretty to someone that doesn’t have the vision.

I set a personal goal to show you my visions. Whether it be a photo shoot, bridal inspiration, or a session. I want you to see beyond what you see, if that makes since. I want you to see beauty in all places even when you don’t think it’s possible.

That brings me to this bridal session. I knew I should do this session here because I could envision Monique there. It’s always this weird feeling, almost like a light bulb goes off, and I can see the pictures before I’ve taken them.

I’ve known Monique for several years now. Before I was in dentistry and photography I worked with her mom at a children’s clothing store called Justice. I even thought I would end up working there as my career. It’s crazy how time changes things. I never thought that one day I would be photographing Monique. Monique is breathtaking! I’m so glad she said yes when I told her about my vision for her session here. It was an honor to photograph her!

If your planning your bridal session, whether it’s with me or your wedding photographer. Trust their vision. Just because naturally it doesn’t look like it would be pretty, trust and know that you can never judge a book by it’s cover.
