Chateau Selah Blountville TN Wedding

Paula and Brian’s wedding was held on August 27 at Chateau Selah, a wedding venue located in Blountville TN. Brian and Paula met while they were in college, they both had a class together. One day Paula was invited over to a friends house for a get together and Brian was there too. They began to hang out after that. They started helping each other with projects in their class they shared, and the rest is history.

Paula’s family is from Brazil.  I loved that Paula and Brian incorporated some Brazilian music in their reception. I’ve actually been meaning to ask Paula who sings some of the songs because I really liked them! We enjoyed seeing these two families come together.

For their ceremony instead of doing sand or a unity candle Brian and Paula incorporated a new tradition. They had a wine box that had two locks. In the wine box they placed two letters, one from Brian to Paula, and one from Paula to Brian. They wrote down how they felt about each other on their wedding day. They didn’t read them. Instead, in five years on their fifth anniversary they will open their wine box, drink the wine, and read their letters to each other. They will then write each other letters on how they feel on that day five years later and repeat the tradition every five years.

I seriously tear up when I think about this tradition they have started. I LOVE this so much! Their ceremony was very sweet and full of love. It was really the best day ever!

Brian and Paula, thank you both so much for letting me share in your day! You both are very special people and I’m so glad that I got to get to know you both! You both have the sweetest families, and Paula your grandmother is precious! I loved watching her dance at your reception! I wish you both forever happiness in your marriage.
