This styled shoot for the Amanda Watson Workshop took place at The River Oaks Garden Club located in Houston TX. This wedding venue is stunning! The River Oaks Garden Club was built in 1910 with the intention of becoming a county school, but later was remodeled in 1927. During the remodel crepe myrtles, roses, and shade trees were planted among other various flowers making this historic place what it is today!
Amanda chose an amazing group of creatives to bring this shoot together! Christina from Christina Leigh Events staged and planned the event! She was such an inspiration to me! She has a great eye for style and was so professional and kind.
The Shoot took place back in March. I had never been to Texas in March. I couldn’t believe how hot it was already! Back in East Tennessee I still had my sweaters on and jeans.
Doing this workshop was a spur of the moment decision. My friend Karen of Karen Ann Photography had been wanting me to sign up for months. Finally five days before the workshop I decided I would take the leap!
Amanda was not only a great mentor, but she truly is a beautiful person inside and out. She helped clarify things in my business to refine and make it what it has become thus far. I never thought I would ever have an opportunity to do something like this. I’m so glad that I decided to have more faith than fear when I made the decision to go and invest in myself.
