What love looks like from an East TN Wedding Photographer

This isn’t the typical lovey post, although some aspects to it will be. I think it’s worth sharing, so here we go!

So what does love really look like and what does it mean? I looked up the definition of love and it reads this “an intense feeling of deep affection”.

I’ve been married now going on 9 years in May and I can truly say that I am more in love with Dustin today than I was then. A lot has changed since we were 20. We grew up together and during that time we’ve had laugher, hugs, fights, and tears. I wouldn’t trade any of those moments for anything.

They say your wedding day is the best day of your life but I beg to differ because everyday after that is better than the last. These days may not be perfect and some days we fight, other days we laugh. There’s a bible verse that I hold dear to my heart 1 Peter 4:8 Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. This verse reminds me of the importance of why we came together in the first place.

If there’s a fight I am reminded of how deep our love for each other is and the love that we have for Christ. I’m making it sound like we fight a lot lol and we truly don’t I promise 😉 .

I think what I’m trying to get across here is that marriage isn’t perfect. God didn’t intend for it to be. That commitment isn’t for the faint at heart… it’s work. It’s the best work! It’s hard at times so is life in general but love is worth the fight!

I really truly believe that’s why I love pictures so much because with every silly argument or disagreement we have had. I look at us together on our walls at home and I am reminded what our love looks like. Our love isn’t perfect but I wouldn’t want it to be. It’s our love beautiful and stubborn at times. At the end of the day we love each other more than the last.

Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. 1 Peter 4:8
