Have you ever known anyone to hate to have their picture made? I actually live with one… my husband! He absolutely hates it, but he does it. He goes before the dreaded, scary camera. You know why he does it? He does it for me, because he knows how much it means to me. I know for the guys reading this your mind says it’s just pictures.. we don’t need pictures. I get it. I really do. It wasn’t until I got older that I realized how important they are. I was so close to my grandmothers and they passed when I was very young. Without those pictures, it’s hard to remember the way they fixed their hair and the way they smiled. I adore those old school Kodak pictures of them, because without the pictures I might not remember.
I know I have some moms out there that say I don’t want my picture made, I don’t like the way I look. I am here to tell you, YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL in everyway! I know how you feel. I think every mom feels this way a time or two. Your babies don’t care about that extra 10 pounds you say you need to loose. YOU’RE BEAUTIFUL! Step in front of the camera for them. They will cherish this, because they cherish you!

Shared! So excited; we need new pictures!
Wow, I am just like your husband. I shy away from any and all cameras. I never wanted my mom to buy my school pictures or have any family portraits made. Now that I’m an adult I really regret those decisions. I would love to be able to look back at every year and see how I’ve changed as well as my family. I myself encourage everyone to take pictures as long as I’m the one snapping them. I’ll always ask people I see taking pictures of them selves if I can take it for them, but if they ask to reciprocate the favor, I pass. I have realized I’ve missed out on some great photo moments. I am learning to not be so camera shy. I had a good friend give me some good advice: “take photos often, in 5 years, 10 years etc down the line you will look back and realize how good life was and how great you looked ” so here’s to taking more photos and not being so critical of myself!
You know I’ll be sharing!!!! Love you work! And your new website 🙂
