Newborn photography has become especially popular in the past decade. The first few weeks of a baby’s life is so precious and fleeting. Though it can be a really difficult time for the family to adjust, it’s something that most will want to have documented to look back on. Lifestyle newborn photography really shows the love and connection between the new baby and family members. Natural light streaming through the bedroom or nursery windows provides a certain level of warmth and tenderness in the photos.

Last, a third way to capture newborns is documentary style. Everyday moments of the baby’s life is captured, such as feeding, sleeping, and playing. This is a photojournalistic approach to create images that tell the story of the transition the family is going through.
