Wedding bouquet designs

Every year I try to push myself to do something outside of the box. I think creatively this helps keep my mind focused, and I believe it leaves a lot of room to be inspired by something. I’ve always admired floral design, because my mind naturally doesn’t work that way. I couldn’t tell you what flowers pair well with another flower like a professional florist. I think that is what draws my curiosity about the craft. Professional florists take flowers that are already pretty alone, and make them into a magical masterpiece.

Having a professional florist design your wedding day flowers is such a good investment to add to your wedding day, especially when it comes to your wedding portraits. Those pops of color add to the romance and whimsy of the most magical day you will have.

Today I’m off to a one on one workshop with an amazing lady that I admire, Linda of Aunt Willie’s Wildflowers. Linda has such a sweet spirit about her that you can’t help but fall in love with when you meet her. Her style is unique in it’s own way. She blows me away with being a flower farmer and using what she grows for what she creates. I can’t wait to learn from her!

I’ve always loved flower gardens. I grew up with my dad planting a vegetable garden, I’m thinking that’s where I get my love for the dirt. My first loves are garden roses and lavender. My favorite past time is the dying plant clearance section at Lowe’s. I’ve always loved to play the game of, can I save this flower!

Just like photographs make my heart happy, plants do too. I’m excited to try something totally different, maybe start making a bouquet or two for my bridal portraits and boudoir. I’m ready to soak up all the sunshine and smell the flowers, because those two things are just good for the soul.

I’m going to play in the dirt, laugh a little, take pictures of what I create, and hang out with an amazingly talented lady that I’m sure will inspire me in more ways than one.
